The Panthers are the football team of Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the NCAA and play in the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference.
Georgia State play their home games at Center Parc Stadium.
📜 Georgia State Panthers Football History
The university commissioned a study in 2006 on the possibility of developing a football program. The findings were positive, and the program was launched in 2008. The Panthers played their first game in September 2010.
In 2012, Georgia State announced that it was joining the Sun Belt Conference, and has been a full member since 2013.
