Gaël Monfils is French tennis player, born in Paris in 1986.
Monfils began playing tennis as a child, but was also a prodigious track athlete, winning multiple youth-category competitions.
As a junior, Monfils won Grand Slam boys singles titles at the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, and Wimbledon, as well as reaching the number 1 spot in the junior rankings in 2004. Monfils made his ATP singles debut in the same year. Monfils has since won more than 10 singles titles, and has reached the fourth round or further at all 4 Grand Slams. His best result at his hometown Grand Slam, Roland-Garros, came in 2008, when he reached the semifinals.
Monfils is perhaps most famous for his unique style of play, which sees him combine his powerful, accurate groundstrokes with unconventional slides, stretches, and trick shots. Monfils is a high-risk player, and one of the most entertaining athletes currently playing the game. Although he often opts to play at the baseline, Monfils regularly throws in drop-shots, and can come to the net too, where he isn't afraid to dive through the air to stay in rallies. Despite his reputation as a showman, Monfils also manages to be quite a consistent player: he has reached an ATP singles final in every calendar year since 2005.

It was a great experience but the logistics of food & beverage was horrible. Many space for vips and less for normal people.
The organisation for VIP Tickets of 200,228 and 260 Euro was extreme ly poor. None of the assistance had an idea where WE should sit. Every good place Was reserved for business. Our Tickets showed row 8, finalky We werde seated in the læst row. Although WE did complaint nobody Was æble to give us the place WE had on our Ticket. And the most important topic was, that there werde only a few Top 20 Player and nö top 10. In the sei-final WE saw a No. 289 of the worldwide list playing.in three days WE saw only 2 interesting games. Unexpcted boring 3 days. Læst but not least our Tickets have been VIP Tickets, but somebody forgot to mention this on our Tickets. Therefore WE have been constantly under stress, to get the VIP PArking space, on the first day we were sent to the wrong entrance, so neither in General mor in VIP We cozld Center the campus. All in all very disappointing. Regards Angelika Haack

Great event. Gets better and more professional each year. I like the variety of food trucks and the bars and seating areas. Centre court is well maintained and all seats have great views. The calibre of players also gets betters every year. It's just a nice vibe to spend the day or evening there. The merchandise store this year was bit too small and hard to find. I preferred it in previous years.
