France played in, and won, the first women’s rugby union test ever played. This victory over the Dutch in 1982 clearly set the French in good stead– they have consistently produced highly competitive teams ever since.
The France Women’s Rugby Union Team is today an experienced and exciting side, which has recorded 5 Grand Slams at the Women’s Six Nations, and has reached the World Cup semifinals on 7 occasions.
