Brighton Racecourse is easy to reach from the A27 Brighton bypass. If you are approaching Brighton on the A23, you need to go east on the A27. Head for signs directing you to Sussex University and take the B2123 to Woodingdean, turn right at the traffic lights and the Racecourse is approximately one mile on your left-hand side. This is the recommended route to avoid traffic congestion through the city centre, however, the racecourse is well sign-posted if you choose to enter central Brighton on the A23. 

If you're coming from the seafront, head for the Brighton Palace Pier before driving eastbound along Marine Parade. Turn left at the first set of lights into Lower Rock Gardens. Turn right at the second set of lights into Edward Street, then first left into Freshfield Road. The racecourse is at the top of the hill.

Car parking is free at the racecourse. There is designated accessible car parking situated by the main entrance.

Brighton & Hove Streamline Taxis are Brighton Racecourse's preferred supplier of taxis and can be contacted directly on 01273 20 20 20 for bookings to and from the racecourse.

Coaches and other bus services from the centre of Brighton and further afield run scheduled services to coincide with racecourse events.

Rail services run to Brighton from London Bridge, Kings Cross, Victoria, Eastbourne, Lewes, Hastings, Portsmouth, and Worthing. From the station, you can walk, or take a taxi. For large events and racedays, shuttle buses are available.

Helicopters may land at the racecourse with prior permission from the course. Please contact reception on 01273 603580 for more information.

Light aircraft and helicopters may land at Shoreham Airport with prior permission, 6 miles west of the Racecourse. Please contact the airport for approval on 01273 296900.

Brighton Racecourse is a 2.7 km (32 min) walk from the centre of Brighton and Brighton Palace Pier, however, there is plenty to see and do closer to the course. There are shops, bars, and eateries nearby and the beach is just a 1.7 km (20 min) walk away.
