Auger-Aliassime had a very successful junior career, winning boys titles at the US Open in doubles and singles, and reaching the top-5 in the junior rankings.
In June 2017, soon after turning professional, Auger-Aliassime became the youngest player in 8 years to win an ATP Challenger event, when he triumphed at the Open Sopra Steria de Lyon. By the end of that year he was in the top-200, and his progress after that was even quicker: come 2021, Auger-Aliassime had reached 8 singles finals in just under 2 years, as well as the semifinals of the US Open. By the end of 2021, Felix Auger-Aliassime broke into the top-10 for the first time.
