📜 Elise Mertens History

Mertens first WTA-level singles title came in 2017, in Hobart, Australia, and she added to that tally 3 times in 2018. The 2018 season also saw Mertens pick up 2 doubles titles. Elise Mertens has reached the fourth round or further in all Grand Slam singles draws, and has won all 3 of the 4 Grand Slam women's doubles draws, the exception being Roland-Garros.
Mertens is more than able on the baseline, helped by her good return, lengthy groundstrokes, and strong backhand. Like most doubles players, Mertens is also highly competent at the net, and has an impressive ability to cover every inch of the court.
