The CME Group Tour Championship is a professional women’s golf tournament and the season finale of the LPGA Tour. It was established in 2011, succeeding the LPGA Tour Championship as the season-ending event.
This event is played with an elite, limited field of 60 players – those who’ve accumulated the most Race to the CME Globe points throughout the season. The players will not only be competing for the biggest winner’s share in women’s golf ($4 million), but also a $1 million bonus, which will go to the player who wins the Race to the CME Globe. A total of 3,500 points are up for grabs, compared with the 500 typically available at regular LPGA Tour events.
With so much on the line, spectators can expect no end of exhilarating play and breath-taking sporting drama.
