Bryan Adams is a Canadian singer, songwriter and photographer. Born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, he spent parts of his youth in Europe before settling in Vancouver, British Columbia, where his music career took flight. Known for a raspy tenor and radio-ready rock sound, he emerged in the early 1980s and became one of Canada’s most recognisable international artists.
His breakthrough came with the albums "Cuts Like a Knife" and "Reckless", featuring enduring singles such as "Run to You", "Heaven" and "Summer of '69". The 1990s brought "Waking Up the Neighbours" and the global hit "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", followed by "18 til I Die" and film collaborations including "All for Love" and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?". Later releases include "Shine a Light" and "So Happy It Hurts". Adams has received numerous honours, including multiple Juno Awards, a Grammy Award, induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and national distinctions such as the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia.
