🏟️ Address: Winter Gardens, 97 Church St, Blackpool, FY1 1HL, United Kingdom Directions in Google Maps
Although there is no on-site parking at the Winter Gardens, there are numerous off-site options nearby - though few if any are free of charge:
Visitors to Blackpool should be sure to pay attention to the town centre's one-way systems and pedestrianised areas.
Taxi drop-offs and pick-ups can be made directly outside the venue, but only if road and pedestrian traffic is at a minimum. A more reliable option is the taxi rank on Church Street, which is less than a 600 m (7 min) walk from the venue.
The following public bus routes can be accessed via these nearby bus stops:
After 18:00, some local and private-hire coaches are also permitted to access Church Street - which runs along the side of the Winter Gardens - in order to drop-off and pick-up passengers. The coaches usually do a loop around the front of the venue, before departing via Leopold Grove. The local traffic agreement permitting coaches to access the Winter Gardens directly is a temporary and unofficial one, however, so check the exact terms of your journey with the organiser of the event you are attending, before you travel.
Blackpool's principal train station, Blackpool North, is just an 800 m (10 min) walk from the Winter Gardens. The station is connected to cities in the north of England such as Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, and York, as well as London and Birmingham.
Blackpool South, the town's other station, is not as connected to the wider UK, but does offer localised services throughout the north of England. The Winter Gardens is a 2.3 km (28 min) walk from Blackpool South, or a 5 to 10-minute taxi ride. Blackpool South does not connect directly to Blackpool North.
Free bike racks are available on Victoria Street, a 40 m (1 min) walk from the Winter Gardens, and on the corner of Church Street and Corporation Street, a 160 m (2 min) walk from the venue.
The venue's location in the centre of the town means it is ideal for visitors looking to make their way on foot. The Central Pier and promenade is less than a 900 m (11 min) walk from the Winter Gardens.
As the UK’s most famous and historic seaside resort, accommodation in Blackpool can be a little expensive, especially during the summer months when it is most frequently visited. However, the further you stay from the town’s main attractions, the more affordable it can be.
To reach Blackpool, fly into Manchester Airport (MAN) which provides direct flights to and from major cities worldwide. The airport is located 80 km southeast…
Eat fish and chips on Central Pier – after admiring the sea views from the ferris wheel and getting your fortune told, fill up on some traditional fish and chips before settling in to watch a show at The Showbar
