Visitors to Blackpool should be sure to pay attention to the town centre's one-way systems and pedestrianised areas.
Taxi drop-offs and pick-ups can be made directly outside the venue, but only if road and pedestrian traffic is at a minimum. A more reliable option is the taxi rank on Church Street, which is less than a 600 m (7 min) walk from the venue.
The following public bus routes can be accessed via these nearby bus stops:
After 18:00, some local and private-hire coaches are also permitted to access Church Street - which runs along the side of the Winter Gardens - in order to drop-off and pick-up passengers. The coaches usually do a loop around the front of the venue, before departing via Leopold Grove. The local traffic agreement permitting coaches to access the Winter Gardens directly is a temporary and unofficial one, however, so check the exact terms of your journey with the organiser of the event you are attending, before you travel.
As the UK’s most famous and historic seaside resort, accommodation in Blackpool can be a little expensive, especially during the summer months when it is most frequently visited. However, the further you stay from the town’s main attractions, the more affordable it can be.
There are toilets on the ground floor and first floor. Baby change facilities can be found in the toilets on both floors.
Accessibility & parking
There is step-free access to the main box office (Church Street), via double doors which are permanently propped open when the box office is open, but the counter itself is not lowered.
There is also an accessible entrance to the side of the main entrance (Coronation Street), with step-free access. Just beyond this entrance is a lift, which can be used to access the different floors of the venue, except the very upper balcony.
There are interior ramps throughout the venue, which can be used instead of steps.
Toilets
There are disabled-accessible toilets on both the ground floor and first floor. Both sets of toilets are less than 30 metres from the venue lift.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome at the Winter Gardens, and water can be provided for them upon request.
Hearing loop
There is not currently a publicised hearing loop facility at the Winter Gardens.
