The Women’s Rugby World Cup is less than one year away and anticipation for the tournament is already growing. Sixteen teams will take part in next year’s competition for the first time since 2002, with New Zealand entering as defending champions following their victory in 2021.
Defeated by the Black Ferns in the 2021 Final, the England Women’s Rugby Team will be hoping to go one better in 2025 and take home the World Cup for the third time in their history. The Red Roses’ chances will be boosted by home advantage as next year’s tournament is set to take place across England, in cities from Exeter to York.
The Women’s Rugby World Cup is scheduled for 22 August – 27 September in 2025, and as fixtures were confirmed last week, fans can now look ahead to some thrilling ties featuring some of the very best players the sport has to offer. England will kick off the tournament in the opening game against the USA on 22 August, beginning a run of 32 games over the course of 5 weeks. Other key clashes include Scotland vs Wales on 23 August, England vs Australia on 6 September, and New Zealand vs Ireland on 7 September.
Tickets to England’s opener and the Final went on sale early, but tickets for the remaining fixtures at the 2025 Rugby World Cup will be available via application from Tuesday 5 November at 11am GMT.
