Amid the lofty dunes tickled by the North Sea's gusty embrace, the small and normally quiet town of Zandvoort prepares to host one of the biggest sporting events on the planet. From the 23rd to the 25th of August 2024, the Formula 1 circus comes to town, and they’ll put on an open-air show called the Dutch Grand Prix.
Baby Boomer turned Alpha
Zandvoort circuit is no stranger to Formula 1, having been a regular on the Grand Prix calendar since the 1950s. However, 1985 marked its final race of the 20th century when the event promoter went out of business. Fast forward 35 years to 2021, and a modernized and redeveloped track made a return to Formula 1 racing.

The updated circuit preserves the undulating, flowing nature of its original layout. This 4.3 km narrow track and high-speed corners, such as the iconic Tarzanbocht, remain a stern challenge for drivers, rewarding precision and bravery.
Orange Fever
F1 weekends, packed full of passionate motorsport fans, always provide an energetic experience. Throw-in home-grown hero Max Verstappen, and the Dutch Grand Prix takes things up a gear. “Max Mania” transforms the Zandvoort into a sea of orange, creating a fun-filled and electric atmosphere for all visitors.

From the technically demanding Tarzanbocht corner to the fabled Arie Luyendykbocht, racing at Zandvoort is fast, which makes it great for spectators. With over 20 viewing areas across the 14 turns, there are ticket options to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets. Some popular options include:

For many F1 fans, staying in Amsterdam is the ideal choice to have the hotels and amenities of this infamous city, whilst still being able to reach Zandvoort in a convenient 30-minute train ride from Amsterdam-Centraal.
