The National Rugby League (NRL) is one of the biggest rugby league competitions in the world, with some of the sport’s best players and most decorated clubs competing every year to be crowned major premiers, that season’s champions. First held in 1908, the NRL Grand Final is the climax of each campaign, pitting 2 teams against each other in front of a sell-out crowd – often in Sydney, the spiritual home of Australian rugby league. Although a standard 80-minute match like any other, the Grand Final is anything but ordinary, with drama almost guaranteed every year as one team secures the glory that accompanies becoming NRL premiers, and another team is left licking its wounds, having come so close to a title after a long, hard season.
The 2023 NRL Grand Final will take place on 1 October, at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, also known as Stadium Australia. Usually home to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the South Sydney Rabbitohs, the venue is no stranger to rugby league action, and its over 80,000 seats are expected to be filled; with ticket sales now open, rugby league fans will be snapping up tickets swiftly, whether they're rooting for a finals favourite, or they’re a neutral spectator looking to enjoy a historic day. As well as being treated to NRL grand final action, fans in New South Wales will also be able to watch the National Rugby League Women’s (NRLW) Premiership Grand Final, which will precede the men’s match.
Match tickets include entry to both fixtures, as standard, with kick-off times set to be confirmed closer to the games. Adult ticket prices start at AUD $59, including fees, in the Bronze and Restricted View seating categories, whilst the most expensive standard tickets – food and drink-inclusive Elite Experience packages – are priced at AUD $695. There will also be multiple family-friendly seating sections at the event, with adult ticket prices starting at AUD $179 in the Alcohol-Free Zone, and family tickets costing AUD $299 in the Family Fun Zone.
