The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league team from the Belmore suburb of Sydney, New South Wales. They compete in the National Rugby League (NRL).
📜 Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs History
Although a rugby league club bearing the Canterbury-Bankstown name had existed since 1922, it took until 1935 for the senior team to formally join the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) Premiership - a forerunner to the NRL. In 1938 the club won its first Premiership, a feat it achieved again in 1942.
Canterbury-Bankstown's next title came 38 years later, in 1980, though it would ignite a decade of success for the team - they would go on to win 3 further titles in the 1980s. They became premiers again in 1995 and 2004, making them one of the most successful clubs in NRL and Australian rugby league history.
The Bulldogs' traditional home colours are blue and white.
