As a fantastically attended, hugely competitive event, the BNP Paribas Open (also known as the Indian Wells Masters) is one of only a couple of tournaments with a real claim to the unofficial title of “fifth Grand Slam”.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and the resultant re-shuffling of events throughout the tennis calendar, fans and players alike were left waiting on news about the BNP Paribas Open. It has now been confirmed that this year the event will take place between 4-17 October.
Although the tournament normally takes place in March, this year’s event will fill the void left by several October cancellations or postponements, such as the Japan Open, tournaments across China, and the Swiss Indoors.
As the BNP Paribas Open is both an ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 event, it is perfectly suited to deliver the quality and breadth of tennis fans will be craving in this disrupted portion of the season. On top of its competitive credentials, the tournament is also a spectator spectacle; the Indian Wells locale offers a gorgeous viewing experience, and the grounds and facilities of the Tennis Garden are world-class. It is easy to see how “Tennis Paradise” has earned its nickname.
Excitingly, as well as confirming its 2021 dates, the BNP Paribas Open has also released tickets, so fans can start counting down the days until their visit to Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Single Session tickets are available for all but the first 2 days of the tournament (4-5 October), and on Stadium 1, which is the main show-court, you can choose either Loge or Prime Loge seating for all applicable sessions. Loge seating starts from $50 for a Day Session, and only $20 for an Evening Session, whilst Prime Loge seating starts from just $75 for a Day session, and $35 for an Evening Session. There are also Day Session tickets available for Stadium 2 and Stadium 3, which start from $150 and $95 respectively.
If you want a little more bang for your buck, Daily Double session tickets are available across a range of Stadium 1 seating areas. These tickets cover both the Day and Evening Sessions for a given date, and prices range from under $200 in Prime Loge seating, to over $760, in the luxurious Front Boxes.
For those who have more than just 1 day on their hands, the BNP Paribas Open also has an excellent range of package tickets, ranging from a couple of days to a whole tournament of fantastic tennis! Mini Packages encompass 2 to 3 dates, and are available over Mid-Week, the Final Weekend, or during the Championship Weekend itself. These are all available across a range of Stadium 1 seats, so you can have total control over where you sit and when – for example, you can grab a Stadium Box Final Weekend ticket for $1,695!
Series Packages, which include all sessions from 6 October onwards, are also on sale. On Stadium 1, you can pick up a Series Package in the excellent Courtside Boxes for $2,900, or choose from a range of other seating areas, with prices to suit most budgets. Stadium 2 and Stadium 3 Series Packages are also on sale, and offer competitively-priced package deals; Stadium 2 Series Packages start from $1,275, and Stadium 3 from $950.
Regardless of stadium or seat, the BNP Paribas Open promises to be a welcome, if temporary, addition to the latter stages of the tennis calendar for thousands of fans. Be sure to grab a ticket, so you can enjoy your own slice of paradise.
