The Laver Cup is a singular event in the tennis world; the competition allows the best players in the world to cut loose without losing their competitive edge, provides its audiences with unique teams of players the likes of which are not seen at any other tournament, and places 2 of the all-time greats of the sport front-and-centre, as team captains. Have you always wished you could see Björn Borg and John McEnroe entertain a crowd? Of course you have! Do you want to see Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal playing doubles together? Who doesn't? Luckily for you, that’s just another day at the Laver Cup.
The 2022 Laver Cup will take place at the O2, in London, between 23-25 September. Across 3 fun-filled days, 2 teams of 6 players will be pitted against each other, collecting 1, 2, or 3 points for each match win. Up to 3 singles matches and 1 doubles match will be played each day, and the first team to reach 13 points will be crowned Laver Cup champions. Team Europe will be captained by Borg, and Team World by his old rival, McEnroe. The full roster of players for this year’s edition has not yet been announced, but it has been confirmed that Federer and Nadal will be competing – the first time since 2019 that both players have appeared together for Team Europe.
With such exciting headliners in store, tickets for the 2022 event are sure to be in high demand.
