Choosing Which Darts Event to Attend
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) hosts over 40 tournaments annually, meaning there is professional darts action for fans to enjoy most weeks of the year. When choosing which event, or events, to attend, there are a number of factors to consider, including the location, the type of event, and the players likely to be taking part.
PDC Darts events mainly take place across the UK and Europe, although visits to the USA and Asia are becoming increasingly common. While the UK will offer the widest choice of events (for example, 14 of the 17 Premier League Darts nights take place in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Wales), combining a trip to destinations like New York or Berlin with a night at the darts can also be a fun way to experience the action.
As there are so many events on the PDC tour, another good way of choosing which tournament or competition to attend is to learn a bit more about what’s available. For instance, the World Darts Championship is the sport’s most prestigious and popular event, with many fans attending at Alexandra Palace in London each year; Premier League Darts is a touring competition with 17 stops across the UK and Europe, bringing darts to the people; and the World Series of Darts is another widely respected tournament that takes the game to global destinations, such as Bahrain and New Zealand. With over 40 to choose from, finding the event that excites you the most can be a great way to narrow down your options.
Finally, darts has always been a sport full of characters, and the professionals taking part in PDC tournaments are known not only for their skills, but their personalities. Before choosing an event to attend, visit Koobit, or the PDC website, to find out which stars of the oche are taking part. From “Snakebite” Peter Wright to teenage sensation Luke “The Nuke” Littler, rooting for (or against) the world’s top players is all part of the fun at a tournament.

When Do Darts Tickets Go on Sale?
There is no set timeframe for the release of darts tickets, but they are generally made available anywhere between 3 – 8 months before the event is set to begin. All PDC darts events operate 3 ticketing windows. These usually take place on consecutive days.
- Window 1: PDCTV Annual Members Window – This is the earliest ticket window and is reserved for PDCTV annual members. You can sign up for this level of membership here.
- Window 2: Priority Members Window – Priority members are the next group to be offered access to tickets. Becoming a priority member is easy, and free. In the weeks and months before an event goes on sale, fans can register for a priority access window on the PDC website, or by following the link on Koobit’s event listing. Priority members receive a link to their own pre-sale window in the days before tickets are released, and can often access tickets a full day before they go on general sale.
- Window 3: General Sale – General sale is the third and final ticketing window and allows anyone to purchase tickets. You do not need to sign up to access general sale tickets, but it is worth noting that tickets are not held back for this window and some of the PDC’s biggest events may sell out before reaching this stage.
Darts events can be very popular, and as many take place at smaller venues, tickets can sell out quickly. For the best chance of securing tickets, save events to your interests on Koobit to receive on-sale notifications. Even if official tickets sell out, a selection of reseller tickets may also be available.
Where to Buy Darts Tickets
Primary Sellers
There is no single official seller across all PDC events, but most tickets are distributed by See Tickets. On occasion, tickets may also be provided by the event venue, the PDC directly, or suppliers like Ticketmaster for specific competitions. No membership is required to buy tickets, but PDC Annual Members and Priority Members both receive presale ticket access before general sale begins.
Resellers
Darts’ biggest events, including the World Championship, Premier League Darts Playoffs, and the World Matchplay, receive significant demand for tickets, and therefore it’s likely that reseller tickets will become available. When official tickets sell out, resellers can be a good option for fans still hoping to attend the event. Koobit compiles tickets and compares prices from a variety of resellers, to help you secure the best seats at the best price. Common darts resellers include Viagogo and StubHub.
Types of Darts Tickets Available
There are generally 2 types of standard tickets at darts events – Table Seating and Tiered Seating – with a range of hospitality options also available, depending on the event.
Tiered Seating
Tiered seating will usually make up the majority of seats at a darts event. These seats are generally located in the elevated grandstands that extend alongside or behind the tables section. While you won’t be as close to the action as those on the tables, tiered seating is usually cheaper and more popular with solo visitors and smaller groups who want a less raucous atmosphere.
Pros: Affordability
Cons: A long way from the action
Prices: Around £25–£50

Table Seating
Table seating is located on the floor of the venue, closest to the action. These seats are situated on long tables shared with other fans and provide the event’s best, and most vibrant atmosphere.
Pros: Close to the action
Cons: Tables are shared and atmosphere may be too rowdy for some fans
Prices: Around £40–£100

Darts Ticket Prices
Darts tickets can vary considerably in price, depending on factors such as the event type, the dates for which a ticket is valid, and the seating section to which a ticket provides access. However, affordable tickets can be found at most events.
Non-ranking events, or other lower-profile tournaments, are likely to command lower ticket prices than ranking events or high-profile, multi-day events. Moreover, buying a ticket for the opening days of an event is likely to be more affordable than reserving a seat for the day of the Final.
Ticket prices can also vary within venues on the same day of the event. For example, tickets for table seats are usually more expensive than tickets for the tiered seats. During the 2024 darts season, the most affordable adult tickets cost approximately GBP £25, while tickets for the latter stages of major events, such as the World Darts Championship, can cost around £100.
Finally, it is also worth noting that tickets for professional darts events can attract significant demand, and regularly sell out. This is why tickets are sold in stages, with priority access afforded to PDC members. When events do sell out, fans can expect to find a range of tickets being resold on secondary marketplaces, allowing those who initially missed out on tickets a second chance to purchase them. Reseller tickets may cost more than face value seats, with prices sometimes dropping closer to the event.
Finding Cheap Tickets
At most professional darts tournaments, the cheapest tickets are those which provide access to the tiered seating sections. If you wish to be seated on the tables, however, selecting a tables seat located in the back rows is generally a more affordable option than selecting a table seat close to the oche.
Another way to get cheap tickets is to attend during early rounds of the tournament. Tickets for the latter rounds, such as the Semifinals and Final, are likely to be more popular and less affordable than tickets for the first round, for example.
Finally, signing up for priority ticket access is also a good idea as this will provide you with the widest choice of tickets across all tournament days and seating sections. By purchasing the cheapest official tickets on offer, you won’t have to navigate the secondary ticket market and prices set by resellers.
For more help finding cheap tickets, visit Koobit, where you will find a comparison of prices offered by official sellers and secondary resellers, ensuring you find the perfect seat at the best possible price.
Ticket Delivery
Darts tickets are generally delivered by email as e-tickets/mobile tickets (scannable on a mobile device) or print at home tickets, which must be printed and presented on paper. When buying from major suppliers like Ticketmaster or AXS, it is possible that you may need to download an app for presentation of your e-ticket at the venue. In all cases, be sure to follow the instructions set by your ticket supplier and contact them directly if you are unsure.
Planning Parking & Travel for a Darts Event
Most major professional darts events are hosted at venues in large towns or cities, and therefore provide many options when it comes to parking your car nearby or taking public transport to an event. Some host venues offer official, on-site car parking, which can be purchased through the official seller or on the venue website. Where this is not the case, public parking is never far away. For some of the bigger cities visited on the PDC tour, such as New York and London, it might be best to take public transport to the event so as to avoid traffic and any delays it might cause. As is the case when attending any sports or entertainment event, it is best to book your parking/journey in advance, and leave plenty of time to get to the venue.
Koobit provides travel and parking information for darts venues, including information about car parking and a range of public transport connections: visit a venue page for more information, or see an individual event page’s Travel & Parking tab for tournament-specific information. For more info on nearby parking or public transport options, visit the venue’s website directly.

Booking Accommodation When Attending a Darts Event
PDC darts events are held in some of the biggest cities in the UK, Europe, and across the world, meaning accommodation should never be too difficult to find. However, due to the popularity of darts events, you may find that hotels, airbnbs, and other options fill up quickly, so it’s best to book as early as possible to secure your stay. Sites like Booking.com can be handy when searching for accommodation, and many hotels even offer free cancellation, so you can book a room before event tickets are released, and then cancel, free of charge, if you are unable to attend. While each city may present its own challenges (smaller host cities like Exeter may sell out more quickly, while world-famous destinations like New York may be expensive), most of these can be mitigated by booking accommodation early. For more information, visit an event's Accommodation and Destination tabs on Koobit.
