The annual Magic Round is one of the highlights of the National Rugby League (NRL) season, and, by extension, the Australian sporting calendar. Inspired by Super League rugby’s Magic Weekend, the Magic Round was first held in 2019 at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, and it has returned to the venue in every year since, with the exception of 2020. The event sees all 8 of that weekend’s regular season fixtures played at 1 stadium, with fans able to enjoy hours of rugby league action without leaving their seat.
The 2024 Magic Round will be held between Friday 17 and Sunday 19 May, during round 11 of the season. The drama will get underway with the Canberra Raiders taking on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, before the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles play 2023 grand final runners-up the Brisbane Broncos. Saturday will see the Gold Coast Titans play the Newcastle Knights, the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks versus the Sydney Roosters, and the South Sydney Rabbitohs versus the North Queensland Cowboys. Closing out the Magic Round on Sunday will be the New Zealand Warriors and reigning premiers the Penrith Panthers, Melbourne Storm and the Parramatta Eels, and last but not least the Wests Tigers and Dolphins, the NRL’s newest team.
Tickets are currently available to purchase as 3-day tickets, providing fans with entry to every single Magic Round match across the weekend. Adult ticket prices start at AUD $129 in the Bronze seating category, and more affordable junior and concessions tickets are also available. For those who want to cheer their team on surrounded by fans of the same stripe, 3-day supporter tickets are also on sale. Each 3-day supporter ticket provides the holder with a reserved seat in their team’s Supporter Bay for their match, and then a reserved silver seat during all other fixtures. All adult 3-day supporter tickets cost AUD $199, and again discounted tickets are available.
Individual day tickets may go also go on sale closer to the event – add the NRL Magic Round to your Koobit interests to be notified if further tickets become available.
