Visiting Buenos Aires
Although Buenos Aires is a capital city overlooking the Rio de la Plata on Argentina’s northeast coast, it’s known as the Paris of Latin America thanks to its romantic Romanesque architecture. However, it isn’t just Paris that influences the city; it is one of the most diverse and inclusive Latin American cities with a rich melting-pot-of-a-culture that celebrates art and individuality. And while it may have a strong European influence, thanks to its early 20th century shipping boom, it has a true South American soul fired by a passion for politics, football, and tango. No trip to the city is therefore complete without visiting the Casa Rosada, the impressive government office, watching a game at La Bombonera, and dancing ‘til you drop in the streets of San Telmo.
