Associazone Calcio Monza - more commonly known as AC Monza or simply Monza - is an Italian professional football club based in Monza, Lombardy in northern Italy and currently playing in the country's top tier Serie A. The club plays home games at Stadio Brianteo.
Founded in 1912 at Monza Foot-Ball Club, the club spent some time in the second tier Serie B but came close to promotion several times in the 1970s. However, the constant financial troubles the club faced took its toll on the side, and later, in 2014 and 2015, they were declared bankrupt. In 2018, Silvio Berlusconi took over AC Monza and the side returned to Serie B after being away for almost 2 decades. Most recently, the club gained promotion to Serie A after the 2021-22 season which is the first time they have ever been in the top league.
