The World Athletics Combined Events Tour - formerly known as the IAAF Combined Events Challenge - is a series of combined track and field meetings held each season. World Athletics has been in charge of organising the tour since 1998. The heptathlon for women and the decathlon for men are the 2 events that demonstrate the extraordinary abilities required for success in combined events. The series features championship-level competitions like the World Athletics Championships and the Olympic Games in addition to annual independent combined events meetings. Due to the fact that combined events are not held at Diamond League meets, it is the premier seasonal competition for decathletes and heptathletes.
