The Women's FIH Hockey World Cup – often simply referred to as the Women's Hockey World Cup – is the field hockey World Cup competition for women organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
Inaugurated in 1974, the format for qualification and the final tournament is similar to the men's. Since 1986, the tournament has been held regularly once every 4 years, in the same year as the men's competition, which is mid-cycle between Summer Olympic games.
Of the 14 tournaments held so far, only 4 teams have won the event. The Netherlands is by far the most successful team, having won the title 8 times, and they co-hosted the 2022 World Cup along with Spain.
The 2026 event will be held in Wavre, Belgium and Amstelveen, Netherlands with these 2 countries also hosting the 2026 Men's Hockey World Cup.
