The Terriers are the football team of Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. They compete in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) of the NCAA and play in the Southern Conference.
📜 Wofford Terriers History
Wofford first fielded a football team in 1889. The team has competed independently for most of its history, but spent 40 years in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association between 1901 and 1941.
In 1946, the Terriers joined the South Carolina Little Three and remained a member until 1964.
Wofford joined the Southern Conference in 1997, winning the conference title 7 times between 2003 and 2019.
The Terriers play their home games at Gibbs Stadium.
