The Badgers are the football team of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the NCAA and play in the West Division of the Big Ten Conference.
Wisconsin has held Big Ten membership since the conference was founded in 1896, and is one of just 26 college football programs to win 700 or more games in its history. The Badgers count 2 Heisman Trophy winners among their alumni. Wisconsin is part of the most-played rivalry in the FBS, having played the Minnesota Golden Gophers every year since 1907.
