Westlife are an Irish pop vocal group from Sligo, Ireland. The line-up comprises Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne; Brian McFadden was a member until 2004. They were briefly known as Westside before adopting the name Westlife.
Formed in 1998, they became known for melodic pop ballads and close harmonies, releasing notable singles such as "Swear It Again", "Flying Without Wings", "My Love", "Uptown Girl" and "Mandy". Key albums include "Westlife", "Coast to Coast", "World of Our Own", "Face to Face", "Back Home", "Where We Are", "Gravity", "Spectrum" and "Wild Dreams". After a farewell tour in 2012, the group reunited in 2018 and returned to recording and major touring. Their recognition includes multiple Meteor Ireland Music Awards and ITV’s "The Record of the Year". Westlife remain a prominent pop act with a devoted international following.
