The United States Amateur Championship, more commonly known as the US Amateur, is the premier amateur golf tournament in the United States.
It was founded alongside the US Open in 1895, and was considered among golf’s majors before the professional game became more prominent in the 20th century.
The competition has no age or gender restrictions upon entry, and it has been won by many notable players before they turned pro including Tiger Woods – the only player to win it in 3 consecutive years – Jack Nicklaus, and Phil Mickelson.
It will be held in 2025 across The Olympic Club in San Francisco.
The reigning champion is Spain's José Luis Ballester, who beat Noah Kent in the 2024 edition.
