Families might prefer the friendly University/Foothill neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Salt Lake City. Whilst it is only a few minutes away from Downtown by bus, there’s plenty to keep families occupied in the neighbourhood itself, including Hogle Zoo, the Natural History Museum, and a number of nearby nature trails.
However, Provo and Orem are perhaps the most family-friendly area to stay within the metropolitan area. Blessed with some of Utah’s most beautiful scenery, Provo is also the ideal base for nature enthusiasts.
Those hoping to hit the slopes during their winter visit would be best positioned in Ogden, located north of Salt Lake City. After all, this is where some of the area’s most favoured runs are found.
