Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium is an American football venue in Memphis, Tennessee. It serves as the home ground of the University of Memphis Tigers, and also hosts the annual Liberty Bowl postseason game and the Southern Heritage Classic.

📜 History

The stadium was opened in 1965 as Memphis Memorial Stadium, but 10 years later, the ongoing success of the Liberty Bowl game led to the venue being renamed Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. For sponsorship reasons, the stadium's name was changed again in 2022 to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

The Memphis Tigers college football team has used the stadium since its opening. The venue is also the annual host of the Southern Heritage Classic, a matchup between Jackson State University and Tennessee State University, both historically black colleges.
