Hayden Homes Amphitheater is an independent, outdoor riverfront music venue in Bend’s historic Old Mill District, on the west bank of the Deschutes River. It accommodates roughly 8,000 people and is widely regarded as Oregon’s largest outdoor venue. It is still often referred to by its former name, the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
The amphitheatre primarily hosts major touring concerts across rock, pop, country, indie and comedy, as well as regional festivals such as Bend Brewfest, community events, graduations and charity races. Its summer season typically runs from late May to early October and attracts high-profile artists alongside local acts, with food carts and craft beer reinforcing its festival-style atmosphere.
Construction finished in 2001 and the venue opened in June 2002 with Lyle Lovett. Originally named for local businessman Les Schwab, it underwent significant upgrades around 2020–21, including a new stage and improved accessibility, and was renamed Hayden Homes Amphitheater in November 2021 after the Central Oregon homebuilder became title sponsor.
