The University of Dayton Arena (also known simply as the UD Arena) is a basketball arena in Dayton, Ohio, home to the University of Dayton Flyers basketball teams.
📜 History
The arena opened in 1969. Its playing court is named the Blackburn Court after coach Tom Blackburn, who enjoyed a highly successful spell in charge of the Flyers from 1947-1964.
As well as hosting regular Flyers games, the venue has also hosted NCAA Men's Division I games on a great many occasions over the years; indeed, more so than any other venue.
With a capacity of 14,000, it is the largest indoor venue between Cincinnati and Columbus, which has made it a regular stop on many a concert tour, from Elvis Presley and Elton John to Usher and Jay-Z.
