Downtown Cincinnati is the most expensive area to stay, but it is also the most central to the city’s highlights. Many landmarks are located in the CBD, as well as the best bars and clubs for those who want to immerse in the nightlife.
Located north of the CBD is Over-the-Rhine is the city’s historic district, known for its famous draws like the old Findlay Market and Cincinnati Music Hall, as well as its Victorian mansions. In contrast, the historic district’s Gateway area is where you’ll find the city’s most modern bars and restaurants.
West of this neighbourhood is West End, an upscale residential neighbourhood known for its charming historic mansions, and trendy shops and galleries, which make it a cultural hotspot.
Head east of the CBD to find the relaxed, family-friendly Mt Adams and Eden Park neighbourhood. With the Ohio River on one side and Eden Park (a hilly park which overlooks the city) on the other, the neighbourhood provides ample amounts of nature whilst being within minutes of the vivacious city.
Cincinnati is connected by public bus, but to properly explore what it has to offer, a car is often preferred.
