It opened in 2008 and is located on the Missouri State University campus, serving as the home to the Missouri State Bears and Lady Bears basketball teams.

It is named after the initials of MSU alumnus John Q Hammons, who donated $30 million toward the venue's $67 million construction.

WWE SuperShow: Springfield, Great Southern Bank Arena

Drove 4 hours for my daughter to see one wrestler and she didn’t wrestle. Daughter super disappointed and this was her birthday present
