Many of Augusta’s hotels are in Downtown, the commercial hub at the edge of the city along the Savannah River which borders with South Carolina. Stay in this area to be close to the city’s cultural landmarks, shopping, entertainment, and nightlife.

Stay in Village West, on the outskirts of Augusta next to the I-20 highway, for easy access to Downtown, Augusta national Golf Club, Atlanta, and South Carolina. The area is conveniently populated with popular bars and restaurants.

Alternatively, stay in National Hills, located on the near side of the I-20, to be even closer to Augusta National Golf Club and Downtown. There’s also a number of top bars and restaurants here, so you don’t have to head Downtown to fuel up if you don’t want to.

There are buses available to take you around Downtown Augusta, but if you’re planning on exploring further afield, it’s best to use a car.
