About The Fillmore

The Fillmore is a historic music venue in San Francisco. It hosts various concerts and performances and has a capacity of 1150 spectators.

Originally opened in 1912 as a dance hall, The Fillmore gained fame in the 1960s under the management of Bill Graham. It became a hub for the counterculture and hosted iconic performances by artists such as The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix. Despite various closures and renovations, the venue continues to be a prominent location for music events.
