About Canon Medical Arena

Canon Medical Arena, also known as Park Community Arena, is an indoor sports venue located in Sheffield, England, within the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.

History

By 2016, plans were in motion for a new sports venue on the site of the former Don Valley Stadium. Following a GBP £14 million construction project that started in 2022, the arena eventually opened in October 2023.

In August 2023, a deal was agreed with Canon Medical Systems, who purchased the naming rights for the arena until at least 2033.

Canon Medical Arena is the home venue of British Basketball League team Sheffield Sharks and Women's British Basketball League team Sheffield Hatters. It has also been used for home matches by Leeds Rhinos of Netball Super League.
