One Call Stadium (Field Mill)

Field Mill, also known as the One Call Stadium, is a football stadium in Mansfield, England. It is the home of Mansfield Town, and it is the oldest ground in the Football League.

📜 History

Field Mill first began hosting football matches in 1861, although it had been used to stage cricket matches for several years prior to that. The ground is named after the large textile mill that stood across the road from the venue before its demolition in 1925.

It was initially used for recreational purposes by Greenalgh & Sons Works employees, before Mansfield Town took up residence in 1919. In the intervening period, it had briefly been used by Mansfield Mechanics FC.

Grandstands and terracing were added in the years after the Stags began utilising the ground, with further additions made in the post-War years, including a grandstand purchased and transported from Surrey's Hurst Park Racecourse.

 A greyhound track was present at Field Mill between 1928 and 1931. Between 1984 and 1986, Mansfield Town shared the ground with Mansfield Marksman rugby league team.
