The picturesque Wimbledon Village is a stone's throw from the venue and is an ideal location to stay for those wanting to attend the tournament on more than one day. However, accommodation prices peak during the Championships and so it may be preferable to look further afield. The venue is well-connected by public transport, and so most areas of London are viable alternatives. In particular, south-west London is a good choice, including areas around Clapham, Fulham, Earls Court, and Kensington.
The All England Club can be reached on public bus route 493. Get off at Wimbledon Tennis Club stop, which is directly adjacent to the venue.
Additionally, Go Ahead-London operates a bus service direct from Euston, Baker Street, Marble Arch, and Victoria to the All England Club.
There is also a shuttle bus which runs between Wimbledon station and the All England Club during the tournament:

The first shuttle departs Wimbledon station at 07:00, and the last shuttle leaves the All England Club at 23:00 – except on finals day, when the last shuttle is at 21:00.

The All England Club is 11.3 km (136 min) walk from Central London and so walking will not be practical if you are staying centrally. However, if your accommodation is in the south-west of London, you may find travelling on foot to be a nice option, particularly as many routes pass through nearby parks and commons.
Around the Grounds
There is a huge range of food and drink available to purchase within the grounds. The main eateries, the Larder, Walled Garden Food Market, and Food Village, are located by No. 1 Court. There are also bars and buffets by Centre Court - this is also the location of the Wimbledon Tea Lawn, one of the best places to get the tournament's trademark treat of strawberries and cream! For fans located at the south end of the grounds, there are bakery, Village Bar, and Larder eateries next to No. 2 Court.
There are also multiple vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices across the grounds, with at least 1 option in every sit-down restaurant, as well as at the Walled Garden Food Market, Food Village, and Tea Lawn. Vegan cream is also available to go with strawberries.
There are more than 100 free water refill points and fountains around the grounds.
Outside Food
Spectators are permitted to bring in their own food and drink - and visitors with medical or dietary needs are especially encouraged to do so - but the following containers are not permitted:
With the exception of bottles of spirits or fortified wines, alcohol can be brought into the tournament from outside, however it must only be consumed at the public bar areas, as well as a select amount of other authorised zones. Spectators should not use glass vessels on the show courts.
Any alcohol brought in is limited to the following volumes per person:
If you with to leave and then re-enter the grounds at any point during the day, you will need to collect a pass-out wristband from either Gate 5 or 13.
When leaving the grounds at the end of the day, the following routes are recommended:
There are 6 sets of toilet facilities located around Centre Court, 4 facilities around No. 1 Court, and 1 set at each of No. 2 and No. 3 Courts. There are also plenty of toilet facilities located all over the wider grounds, including in close proximity to all other outer courts.
The All England Club has a capacity of approximately 40,000. However, the capacity does differ between events depending on the seating configuration.
