Located 3.7 km from Liverpool City Centre, Anfield Stadium is accessible via several transportation options, Merseyrail being one of the most popular transportation choices by locals. It runs throughout 68 stations in and around the Liverpool area and gives you time to see everything the city has to offer.
We strongly advise where possible you utilise public transport to travel to the stadium, as crowds can be very dense on match days.

Anfield Stadium doesn't offer any parking facilities and the area has a resident parking scheme in operation. There are a limited number of car park passes available for the elderly who have to be registered with the club as being over 65 and purchase a pass.
Accessible parking (for blue badge holders) is available to purchase directly from LFC – advance application only.
The taxi-pick-up points are outside the stadium and on major routes.
You can take Taxi One, which operates from St Johns Lane direct to Anfield 3 hours prior to kick-off. There is also a one-return service from the corner of Anfield Road/Sleepers Hill opposite the Isla Gladstone conservatory back to the city center.
There are different bus and coach services to get to the stadium on match days:
Take the Merseyrail and get off at the Lime Street Railway Station. From there, walk to the Queen Square Bus Station, located 300 m (3 minutes) away from the Lime Street. Get off at the Liverpool FC stop. The bus will take you to the stadium at around 20 minutes depending on the traffic.
On matchdays, you can also use the Merseyrail network to link with the Soccerbus service from Sandhills Station which directly goes to the stadium.

As one of England’s most touristic cities, Liverpool has a wide range of high-end to affordable accommodation including boutique hotels, luxury chain hotels, hostels, and Airbnb’s. Of course, the inner-city suburbs tend to be most expensive, but you can stay there on a shoestring budget if you wish.
We recommend you avoid the crowds and get to the stadium early to enjoy the Fan Zones that are located in Paisley Square and Anfield Road. The Fan Zones are opened 4 hours before the match and provide a unique atmosphere for sports lovers.
For wheelchair users who have season tickets, there are 59 spaces available in the stadium. In addition, there are 33 spaces for general sale. Supporters get to have 8 seats located in the Main Stand, Anfield Road Stand, and The Kop.
38 spaces are dedicated for the visually impaired situated in the old paddock area of the Main Stand.

There are signposts on the walking routes from Liverpool Lime Street, Sandhills, and Kirkdale Stations to the stadium. Liverpool Lime Street is located 3.2 km (43 minutes) away while Sandhills and Kirkdale are located 2 km (29 minutes) away from the stadium.
Anfield has a capacity of approximately 53,394. However, the capacity does differ between events depending on the seating configuration.
