Hive Stadium

Edinburgh Rugby Stadium, known as the Hive Stadium for sponsorship purposes, and previously known as the DAM Health stadium, is a rugby stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is the home venue of rugby union club Edinburgh Rugby.

📜 History

The Hive Stadium opened in 2021 as the new purpose-built home of United Rugby Championship (URC) side Edinburgh Rugby. The club had previously played matches at Myreside Stadium, Meadowbank Stadium, and Murrayfield Stadium. The first match held at the stadium was a friendly between Edinburgh and Gallagher Premiership side Newcastle Falcons in September 2021, the same month that naming rights for the stadium were awarded to DAM Health. In 2023 the naming rights were purchased by Scottish Gas, with the stadium taking on the "Hive" moniker.

The Hive Stadium has a spectator capacity of 7,800. It is comprised of the following grandstands and terraces:

• Main Stand - seating stand along the north sideline
• Murrayfield Stand - seating stand behind the posts at the east end of the ground
• Terraces A & B - standing terraces behind the posts at the east end of the ground, in front of the Murrayfield Stand
• Lothian Stand - seating stand along the south sideline
• Terraces C, D, & E - standing terraces along the south sideline, in front of the Lothian Stand
• Riverside Stand - seating stand behind the posts at the west end of the ground
• Terraces F, G, & H - standing terraces behind the posts at the west end of the ground, in front of the Riverside Stand
