There are a multitude of ways to travel to Fontwell Park Racecourse. Due to the rural location and the parking available at the venue, driving is a great way to arrive. There are also public transport links via train and then a shuttle bus service.

Fontwell Park is situated on the A27/A29 roundabout between Chichester and Arundel. For the main car park and entrance, please use the car park off Fontwell Avenue, BN18 0SY, or alternatively, on fixtures where the centre course is open and with a pre-paid parking pass this is located off the A27, BN18 0SX.
There is designated disabled parking that is in close proximity to the main entrance of Fontwell Park. Please note this is subject to availability and is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Stagecoach 500 bus operates from Littlehampton - Chichester. The bus arrives and departs from Fontwell Roundabout, a few minutes walk from the racecourse.
A shuttle bus will be operating from Barnham Railway Station to Fontwell Park for gates opening up until the time of the first race and will recommence from the penultimate race until 30 minutes after the last race. This service is not run on Boxing Day.
Coaches and coach groups are welcome to the racecourse. On arrival, coaches will be directed to the allocated coach parking.
The nearest station is Barnham, with trains running regularly from London Victoria, Portsmouth, and Brighton. Trains also run direct to Barnham from Southampton. From Barnham Station, a shuttle bus service operates on racedays.
With prior permission, helicopters can land on the course on racedays. Light aircraft can land at nearby Goodwood (by prior arrangement). Fontwell Park recommends Elite Helicopters 0800 804 8812.
Chichester is on the steeper side when it comes to accommodation prices. However, the city centre has both luxury and budget hotels, and the surrounding areas offer everything from chic Airbnb’s to cute cottages.
Fontwell Park offers a number of choices to casually eat and drink throughout the day. Whether you wish to enjoy a lovely cold glass of bubbly, or just grab a quick snack before the next race.
Fontwell Park is just a 450 m (5 min) walk from the centre of Fontwell and is also just outside South Downs National Park where there are some beautiful walking paths and routes.
Typically, gates open 2 hours before the first race. For feature and festival fixtures, gates may open earlier.
There are toilet facilities conveniently located throughout the racecourse.
Fontwell Park Racecourse hosts a range of horse Racing events throughout the autumn and winter months as it is used as a jump (National Hunt) racing course. One of the bigger racedays at the course is the Southern National.
Fontwell Park Racecourse ticket prices vary depending on a number of factors including the event, the enclosure the ticket is for, and the seller. For example, tickets for the Premier Enclosure offering greater access around the course will be more expensive than those for the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure. Similarly, tickets may be more expensive on a bigger raceday than at one of the smaller fixtures. Walk-up tickets may be available for racedays that have not already sold out and you can check individual fixtures on the racecourse website. Prebooked tickets also reduce the amount of time it will take to enter the racecourse on the day.
Fontwell Park Racecourse offers public parking which is free for all attendees of the race meeting. Traffic around the course can build up at peak times, so early arrival is advised to avoid delays getting into the venue.
