The Cloud County Ground is easily accessible via car, walking, train, and bus services. Essex County Cricket Club encourages visitors to plan their trip ahead of time to ensure ease of travel. If you are planning on driving to the venue, ensure you arrive early to find a parking spot. Parking is located a short walk from the venue.

The Cloud County Ground car park is pay & display for on all non-First XI matchdays with cash payment machine located on site. Disabled concessions do not apply and payments can also be made online.
It is possible to book a Taxi direct to The Cloud County Ground via the official Taxi Partner, Fareway Taxis.
Chelmsford Bus Station is situated on Duke Street, next to Chelmsford Train Station, with connections to all over the County. Alternatively, bus numbers 42 and 100, which are operated by First Group, stop on New London Road, which is approximately 200 m (2 min) walk to the Ground, via New Writtle Street.
Chelmsford Railway Station is operated by Abellio Greater Anglia and is an approximate 800 m (10 min) walk from The Cloud County Ground. Regular direct train services depart from Chelmsford to London, Stratford, Shenfield, Romford, Colchester, Ipswich and Norwich. Chelmsford is situated on the Liverpool Street to Norwich mainline, with 5 trains per hour to and from Central London.
Chelmsford is an affordable area to stay with a range of accommodations from luxurious estates to budget hotels. While most accommodation is found within the city centre near to the best shopping, dining, and entertainment spots, there’s plenty of options to consider outside the city too.
In addition to the food court, spectators can also access the catering facilities at Spinners Bar in the Red Area and County Corner in the Green Area. You will be able to purchase a selection of food, drinks, and snacks throughout the game, subject to COVID restrictions and regulations.
Explore the choice of food at The Cloud County Ground in the food court. Situated opposite The Cricket Store, the food court will be available during all NatWest T20 Blast matches.
Food & non-alcoholic drinks are permitted into the ground.
Entrances to The Cloud County Ground are situated on New Writtle Street and via Sky Blue Pastures to the North of the Ground via Parkway.
Entry into the ground through The River Gate is accessed via Sky Blue Pastures for all NatWest T20 Blast fixtures. In order to control the rate of people entering the ground, spectators will be required to undertake bag searches and security checks prior to passing under the bridge and into the ground. Please have your matchday ticket at the ready to reduce waiting times.
Toilets are located behind the Pavilion (Blue Area), in County Corner (Green Area) and behind the Scoreboard (Red Area).
Entrance
Disabled visitors to The Cloud County Ground are required to access via the Main Entrance on New Writtle Street. Accessible car park spaces are available opposite the Essex Cricket Store at the end of the driveway. These are a limited number of spaces available on matchdays and for non-matchdays events, on a first come, first served basis.
Toilets
Accessible toilets are located behind the Pavilion and in County Corner only.
Seating
Accessible seating is situated in Block 1 in the Red Area and in Block 30 and 31 in the Green Area. There is also step free access to the MBS Eagles Area which will be open during all NatWest T20 Blast matches. You must hold to the correct ticket to sit in any of these areas.
Entrances to The Cloud County Ground are situated on New Writtle Street and via Sky Blue Pastures to the North of the Ground via Parkway. To enter the Ground via Sky Blue Pastures, follow Parkway, walking away from the roundabout adjacent to the High Chelmer car park and market. Walk over the bridge before walking down to the river and looping back underneath the bridge. There is also access from the City Centre walking through Sky Blue Pastures from New London Road (by Marks & Spencer).
Pedestrians accessing the Ground via the main entrance will need to enter by New Writtle Street.
Property Lost
Please contact The Membership & Ticketing Office on 01245 254010 on the first working day after the match when your property was lost.
Lost Tickets
Lost tickets prior to the match will need to be replaced in order for you to gain entry into the ground. Please contact The Membership & Ticketing Office on 01245 254010 no later than 72 hours prior to the start of the match to organise a replacement. Tickets that need to be replaced after this time period are liable to additional fees.
Person Lost
Lost your friends or family? Why not arrange to meet at a location just incase you get separated? Our meeting point is outside the The Cricket Store at Essex Cricket in the Blue Area of the ground.
First Aid
If you require medical attention, please contact your nearest steward. Alternatively the medical facilities are situated behind the Essex Cricket Foundation Stand at The River End in the Red Area. In an emergency please stay calm, report your problem and help will be on the way. m
Ambassador Cruise Line Ground has a capacity of approximately 6,500. However, the capacity does differ between events depending on the seating configuration.
