Chepstow Racecourse is just 2 km from the centre of Chepstow and is easily reached by public transport including bus and rail services. Due to extensive road links and the parking available on site, car is also a popular way to reach the course. The racecourse is on the A466 Chepstow to Monmouth road, not far from the now toll-free Severn Bridge. From the M4 East (Junction 21) or M4 West (Junction 23), take the M48 and exit at Junction 2 (Chepstow).

Ample parking is provided for Owners & Trainers, Annual Members, hospitality ticket holders, Grandstand & Paddock ticket holders, and Premier ticket holders in the main car park, across from the zebra crossing and main entrance.
Access to the Premier entrance is straight across from the zebra crossing from the main car park for Premier badge holders. Access to the Grandstand entrance is via the underpass from the main car park and through the turnstiles for Grandstand & Paddock badge holders.
There is designated disabled parking close to the main entrance.
A shuttle bus service provided by Newport Transport operates from Chepstow Train Station to the racecourse via the town's bus station. The service also operates from Newport Train Station direct to the racecourse.
Coach groups are welcome at the racecourse. On arrival, coaches will be directed to our allocated coach parking.
Chepstow Train Station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the town centre. From here, you can take the shuttle bus to the racecourse or it is a 2.2 km (27 min) walk. The station has direct trains to Birmingham, Cardiff, Cheltenham Spa, Derby, Gloucester, Newport, and Nottingham. At Newport, connections are available for London (Paddington), Hereford, Shrewsbury, Crewe, Manchester, Swansea, and all parts of Wales, as well as for Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Salisbury, Portsmouth, and all parts of south and west England.

Being a popular tourist destination, Bristol is one of the country’s pricier cities outside of London, and it’s home to some of the coolest luxury boutique hotels around. However, Bristol is also one of the country’s most popular student cities, and so you can always find cheap and cheerful options for food and accommodation if you’d prefer.
A range of different bars and food outlets will be available depending on how busy the fixture is likely to be. Outlets will offer beer, wine, spirits, champagne, and soft drinks. The food outlets will serve burgers, hot dogs, fish and chips, and a variety of other options.
Please note you cannot bring your own food and drink into the venue (unless it is a designated Bank Holiday Family Day) - bag searches will take place.
Barbecues are not allowed to be used at the racecourse.
No alcohol can be brought into the racecourse.
Typically, gates open 2 hours before the first race. For feature and festival fixtures, gates may open earlier.
There are 2 separate entrances. The Premier Entrance is used for Premier ticket holders only and is located directly opposite the pedestrian crossing outside the racecourse. The Grandstand & Paddock turnstiles are accessed through the underpass at the top end of the car park. All tickets may be used through this entrance. For racedays where there is 1 enclosure, access is through the Premier Enclosure.
On most racedays - other than Live After Racing nights or themes race nights with music - the racecourse, along with bars and food outlets, will close shortly after the last race.
Chepstow Racecourse is a 1.9 km (23 min) walk from Chepstow town centre where there is a range of eateries, bars, pubs, shops, and much more.
There are toilet facilities located throughout the racecourse in all enclosures.
