The 1st Central County Ground is easily accessible via car, train, and bus services. Sussex County Cricket Club encourages visitors to plan their trip ahead of time to ensure ease of travel. If you are planning on driving to the venue, ensure you arrive early to find a parking spot as spaces are limit at the venue.

There is very limited parking at The 1st Central County Ground on Specsavers County Championship matches for Sussex Cricket members and those with disabled parking permits. Please note there is no parking available for all other match days including Royal London One-Day Cup, Vitality Blast, Kia Super League, Women’s One-Day International and Tourist matches. There is a public car park, Norton Road Car Park (BN3 3BE), located 800 m (10 min) walk West of The 1st Central County Ground opposite Hove Town Hall (charges apply between 8am and 8pm).
The Number 7 bus runs past the North (Cromwell Road) end of the ground with several stops approximately 400 m (5 min) walk from the ground. This service is the George Street, Hove to Brighton Marina service and serves both Hove and Brighton Rail Stations. This bus runs approximately every 10 minutes and around every 15 minutes on Sundays. The 21 & 21A Brighton Marina to Goldstone Valley service stops outside the main entrance to the ground; these are less frequent but do run through the central Hove and Brighton areas.
Hove Railway Station is 800 m (10 min) walk from the ground. Leave the station and head South on Goldstone Villas, at the bottom of the road turn right onto Eaton Road. Cross over The Drive continuing along Eaton Road, The 1st Central County Ground will appear on your left hand side. Brighton Railway Station is approximately a mile and a half from the Club. There are regular rail services from Brighton Station to Hove Station.
While Brighton is the second most expensive city to live in the UK, due to its sunny coastline and cultural treasures, it’s entirely possible to visit on a budget. As a tourist hub, everything from luxury boutique hotels to affordable hostels and B&Bs are up for grabs. While you’ll most definitely pay a premium for a beachfront sea-view location, head slightly inland to find more reasonably priced accommodation.
There are several outlets around the ground for you to enjoy food and drink.
There are two entrances to the ground.
Either gate may be used to enter The 1st Central County Ground, however, ticket holders for the Spen Cama Pavilion or Jointing Tech South West Stand are advised to enter the ground via the Eaton Road gate. SEA LIFE family stand and general admission ticket holders are advised to enter via the North East gate in Palmeira Avenue. Cash and card sales are available from the Eaton Road gate.
Spectator toilets are located inside the Spen Cama Pavilion, at the back of the Jointing Tech Sharks Stand and at the back of the South Stand. Please observe capacity limits detailed on signage at these locations.
Seating
The 1st Central County Ground, Hove is an accessible ground for disabled supporters and visitors.
There is ramped access to the rear of the Spen Cama Pavilion next to the Aerotron Indoor School, and there is also a lift in the new entrance at the rear of the Pavilion into the Long Room/Dining Room area of the building.
Wheelchair users who aren't members can sit in the disabled access area which is alongside the sightscreen on the North end of the ground. For some matches the area to the North of the main scoreboard will also be available. Please speak to a steward on arrival for more information.
Disabled Parking
Disabled parking is very limited and is allocated on a first come first served basis. For more information on individual matches, please contact the club on 0844 264 0202.
Entrance
Cow Corner is also wheelchair-friendly with ramped access at the entrance next to the South Stand/Media Centre.
Disability Assistance Devices
For blind/partially sighted customers, SCCC offers complimentary ear pieces for BBC Sussex's commentary– these are available from the Club shop.
ATMs
There is no ATM on site, the closest one being within The Sussex Cricketer pub at the main entrance to the ground (fees apply). Church Road and George Street are both within walking distance and have cash machines with all the major banks. Card payments for merchandise, tickets, food and beverages are available at the majority of outlets, including contactless payment to assist with the speed of queues.
The 1st Central County Ground has a capacity of approximately 6,000. However, the capacity does differ between events depending on the seating configuration.
