With unrivalled road rail and air links, BP Pulse LIVE takes centre stage on the NEC Campus just outside Birmingham city centre. Whether you're travelling by car or public transports, there is ample parking and various bus / rail routes which enable visitors easy access to the venue.

Below you can find general information on travel and parking for BP Pulse LIVE. Individual events may have additional/restricted services available, and so we recommend clicking through to the event and viewing the Travel & Parking tab for event-specific information.

🅿️ Parking

Situated on the NEC site with over 16,000 parking spaces, parking at BP Pulse LIVE couldn't be easier. On arrival at the NEC, please follow electronic directional signage to 'Arena Parking', which will lead you to the nearest available car park for your event. Please note that parking payments must be made via credit/debit card or via your smartphone. We strongly advise pre-booking your parking online, however you are able to pay for your parking on the day. Parking payment machines are located inside BP Pulse LIVE, outside the Box Office or within the NEC.

Blue Badge Parking

The NEC site (including BP Pulse LIVE) has designated car park spaces for visitors with disabilities.

Motorcycle Parking

Motorcycle parking is free in all car parks on the NEC site, excluding Express car parks.

Electric Vehicle Charging Points

The NEC EV charge points are connected to the Swarco eConnect network and are supported and maintained by them. The charge points require a type 2 connector and will deliver a minimum 3.5kwh.

🚖️ Taxi

TOA are committed to providing a reliable, good value service. Book TOA taxis by phone on 0121 427 8888, book a taxi online or download the app, or pick one up outside the NEC main entrances when available.

If you use a non TOA taxi to drop off and pick up at an event, please follow the signs that will direct you to the relevant area.

🚍 Coach & Bus

There are buses from Birmingham Coach Station to Birmingham Airport. From the airport you can get to the arena in minutes. There are also buses from Birmingham coach station via Birmingham Moor Street Bus/Rail Interchange: the 900 local bus service runs every 20 minutes during the day, journey time approximately 30 mins.

BP Pulse LIVE Hotels & Accommodation

Although Birmingham is the second biggest city in England after London, its prices for food and accommodation are not nearly as high. While there are a few high-end luxury hotels in the city centre and other inner-city neighbourhoods, there are plenty of budget hotels too. As the city is becoming more and more popular with tourists, there’s a number of hostels cropping up throughout too.

📍 Where To Stay

Birmingham city centre is the most convenient location to stay in, as this is where you’ll find the Bullring shopping centre and New Street Station, which offers cross-country connections, and it’s within walking distance to most of the attractions. The centre is also populated with many top pubs and bars that come to life almost every night of the week.

The real parties, however, are usually found in Digbeth, the city’s industrial neighbourhood that transformed many of its derelict warehouses into rave clubs. As well as its electronic rave culture, hipsters love this area for its creative flare, which is reflected in the iconic street art.

Moseley and Kings Heath are also hipster hangouts, as there are a number of popular bars, independent shops, and intimate event venues around the area. Its popularity in recent years has made it one of Birmingham’s most sought after locations for young professionals, giving it a classier edge over Digbeth.

If you’re looking for a more refined city experience, head to St Pauls and the Jewellery Quarter, located on the opposite side of the city centre. As well as luxury boutique hotels and Airbnb’s, this area boasts award-winning gin bars and Michelin-star restaurants. As these neighbourhoods are a 5 to 10 minute walk from the city centre, they are much quieter and family-friendly.

Located about 5 km from the city centre, Harborne and Edgbaston, are beautiful Victorian city suburbs with pretty parks like the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. These affluent areas are well-connected to the city centre by train, although they tempt you to stay put with local Michelin-star restaurants.

Birmingham is an extraordinarily large city and although some of its neighbourhoods and attractions are within walking distance, it would be a bit ambitious to walk everywhere. Fortunately, there is an efficient tram service that runs throughout the city, as well as frequent local trains that will take you to the suburbs from Birmingham New Street.

About BP Pulse LIVE

BP Pulse LIVE, previously known as Resorts World Arena, Birmingham International Arena and Genting Arena, is an indoor arena located at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK. It has a capacity of 15,685 seats and is primarily used for entertainment events, including concerts, sports events, comedy shows, and family shows.

A popular arena amongst concert-goers and sports fans, the BP Pulse LIVE has one of the highest ticket sales of an arena venue in the United Kingdom.

🍔 Food & Drink

Forum Live will be buzzing before the show with a whole heap of food and drink to choose from. From New York style hot dogs smothered in delicious toppings, fresh Tex Mex with handcrafted sauces, and delicious beef burgers with all the trimmings in a fresh brioche bun to speciality items such as Vebab (Vegan kebab), Vegan wings and vegan nachos! There are also pints, spirits, cocktails, and bottles served up at bars throughout the venue.

Free drinking water is available from the medical centre under block 1 and from various food and bar outlets. Please ask a member of staff for clarification when in the venue.

💂 Entry Gates

If you are traveling by train/bus to Birmingham International Station you’ll be able to get to the venue via the walkway through the NEC*. Alternatively, you can also use the stairs or lifts at that entrance down to Perimeter way and follow the signs to BP Pulse LIVE.

🚽 Toilets

BP Pulse LIVE has public, stand-alone, unisex accessible toilets located throughout the venue. Baby changing facilities are located in every female and male toilet around the venue.

Getting Around

BP Pulse LIVE is fully accessible for people with physical and sensory disabilities, with 2 accessible entrances, flat floor, and ramped access throughout and lifts to hospitality areas and the Show Deck. The venue also has lowered counters at Box Office and Catering and Merchandise units.

Accessible Seating

Raised accessible platforms with ramped access are located on the floor either side of the Arena bowl for customers in wheelchairs /mobility scooters or those unable to navigate steps, along with their essential companions.
There are also various ambulant seats in the terracing throughout the venue for customers who have access requirements but do not have a physical disability requiring them to be on one of the platforms. These can include hidden disabilities and visual/hearing impairments.
Please note that while these seats are usually at the ends of rows close to an exit, at BP Pulse LIVE this still does mean there are stairs to negotiate. You should also note that these seats are not suitable for anyone who struggles to stand for any period of time should people in front chose to stand/dance and to let people in and out of the rest of the row. Please note - for Health and Safety reasons the venue is unable to allow wheelchair users onto the Arena floor during standing concerts.

Assistance / Guide Dogs

Specially trained Assistance and Guide dogs are welcome in the Arena.

We would recommend that dogs are not taken into the bowl for loud events and as such the venue is happy to look after your dog for you in a safe and secure environment. There is a designated area with bedding and water bowls and staff will take them outside for comfort breaks at regular intervals. Simply speak to a member of Security staff on arrival. Customers who need their dog with them at all times, please notify the venue your requirements at the time of booking. Dogs are only allowed within certain seating areas within the arena bowl, for the welfare of the dogs, other customers and to maintain safe venue evacuation routes, should they be required.

Toilets

BP Pulse LIVE has 9 public, stand-alone, unisex accessible toilets for any customer with access requirements. These are located in the Forum Live and at the rear of Blocks 7, 11 and 15 in the Arena, all of which are controlled by the use of a RADAR key. Please speak to one of the stewards in the area for the use of a RADAR key if you do not have one with you
There are also unisex accessible/ambulant toilets in all hospitality areas
There are larger ambulant toilets located within all of the single sex toilets throughout the building, plus more within hospitality areas, which do not require a RADAR key. These generally have outward opening doors and grab rails. Some have their own sinks and some have baby changing facilities too
In addition to the accessible toilet provision, BP Pulse LIVE can also boast a Changing Places toilet facility which can be found at the rear of Block 12. This facility meets the needs of people with multiple and complex disabilities who have one or more carers with, and assisting them, by providing extra features and more space

Accessible Parking

The NEC site (including BP Pulse LIVE) has designated car park spaces for visitors with disabilities. On arrival at the NEC site, please follow the signage for Arena Disabled Parking. In addition, Traffic Officers will direct you to the most convenient parking area.

Available parking for Blue Badge holders (please note badge holder must be present):

For the majority of Arena events, wider space parking is available next to the Arena in South 1 car park on a first come, first served basis (regardless of whether you have pre-paid or not). This car park is a 20 – 50 m maximum walk to/from the Box Office Accessible Entrance
If/once the Arena disabled parking area is full, customers will be directed to the overspill area in the South car parks which is approx 100 – 250 m walk to/from the Box Office Accessible Entrance
Additional parking is also available in the East car parks, and these are serviced by free shuttle buses which are accessible to wheelchair users with a drop-off / pick-up point in front of the Arena Lakeside Accessible entrance (open from Doors Open time on your ticket)

The service charge for all Arena car parking (including blue badge holders) is £12 per vehicle, if you turn up and pay. Payment machines are available inside the Arena and just outside the Box Office, which both take cash and card.
