One of snooker's distinguished Triple Crown Series events, the UK Championship is a major annual tournament that has helped kickstart careers and solidify legacies. First staged at Blackpool Tower in 1977, the event was originally only open to British residents, but this changed in 1984 when the championship gained ranking status and all professionals were permitted to enter.
In 2025, the UK Championship returns to York Barbican between 29 November – 7 December. With passionate, capacity crowds in attendance, reigning champion Judd Trump will defend his crown against the likes of Mark Allen, Neil Robertson, Ronnie O'Sullivan and 2024 runner-up Barry Hawkins.
