Great day of Athletics and some promising newcomers
Unfortunately there was a fire in the building on day one causing a complete evacuation which is understandable. However no one was communicating this to the crowd that was building up outside. All it needed was someone with a megaphone to share this information with a potential new timing. Everyone just stood there waiting not knowing what the problem was. Apart from this the meeting and venue was excellent .... just improve your onsite communication !
Event delayed, no information passed on to attendees.
Great event, efficiently run. Food and drink very expensive and vending machines ran out of some drinks. Also, are there recycling bins?
This is a great event at a good venue. Lower tier seats are a bit tight on legroom. Upper tier have a bit more space. Event was well organised as always.
Event staff very helpful both inside the venue and outside giving directions. Prepaid for parking which was easy and right on the doorstep of the venue.
If I do have some advice it's of a personal experience. I am not a great fan of smelling fried foods and which I now realise that this is a problem for me going into an indoor Athletics meet where spectators eat in the arena whilst watching the events it became overpowering and I left before the end .So if anyone does have any food allergy or dislike maybe it's something to consider.
