The UCI Gravel World Championships are the international championships in the cycling discipline of gravel cycling which see riders from across the world compete.
The testing gravel surface really tests the patience and strength of the riders as they skid and swerve while speeding along the long course to the finish line. As with the World Championships in other cycling disciplines, the winner is awarded a gold medal and a rainbow jersey and they are allowed to wear their rainbow jersey until the following year's championship, but they may wear it only in the type of event in which they won it. Silver and bronze medals are awarded to the second and third place contestants respectively.
In 2022, we saw the first World Championships in gravel cycling thanks to the proven popularity of other events in the discipline. The 2025 World Championships will take place in Beek. The women elite race will be on Saturday while the men elite have their race on Sunday.

The race takes place over public roads and so no entry ticket is required to watch the cyclists; simply choose your spot along the route and get there in plenty of time before road closures to cheer them on.
