The cycling was great but we were disappointed by the atmosphere and the fact the veoldrome was only half full. In comparison to the Berlin event it was a bit sad. I hope next year maybe ticket prices could be reduced to get a fuller venue.

But it was well organised and great to watch.

Great cycling all round. Exciting and fast. Great skill from all the cyclist.

Downsides, depending on where you sit, could not hear the commentator clearly and could not read results.

The screens on Friday only showed scores one end, which were too far away to see from our seats and the other showed the track video. Not required as you can see all the track. On Sunday this had been changed so all 4 screens showed results. Which is great.

Another great day out, packed with exciting action and reasonably priced tickets

Overall this was a big improvement on last years event perhaps because there were more sprint races. Personally I love the Durney races and they didn’t disappoint. My biggest gripe was the PA system which was awful. You couldn’t hear a thing which meant it was impossible to get involved … if you didn’t have a knowledge of track cycling ( or be with someone who did) you would have struggled to know what was going on. When it was 6 days event the PA was brilliant and made it much easier for the audience to get involved. There could do with a bit more of a build up for the racers…often the races seemed to drift into one another …eg let the sprinters pick some music and then head round the track winding everyone up. Overall racing good but presentation needs work.

It was a pity that we had to learn at the entrance that food and drinks were not allowed inside

Excellent Organisation

The main critique as a visitor is definitely about the drinks and food. It was poorly organized. The personel was badly organized and seemed inexperienced in the venue. Also people were queing from both sides while the cafetaria was organized from left to right. Big no no. Creating a bottleneck in a single place too feed 1500 people.. come on! The hotdogs were not good, the meat was over-overdone. Serving from glass bottles was also a mistake. Cash payment was also a pain. Tokens would have been better. The payment terminal lacked connection, maybe use internal network at the venue?

A great event, well organised and an excellent facility. Would definitely attend again!

Great action on track with a well paced programme.

Look at seating plan carefully as there’s lots of seats with an obscured view, even premium ones

Enjoyed it, but disappointed there were no pursuit races.

The venue itself was great, and the events on the track were also great.

There were long queues for drinks for the first 2 hours, and even though the official note said it was a cashless venue, the payment machine on one of the 2 bars wasn’t working, and the staff were asking for cash payment. This meant for the vast majority of people like me, we had an even longer queue time to get drinks at the bar where the contactless payment was working.

Amazing experience

Excellent atmosphere, great view of the action and a good mixed programme. It was a welcome move to have para and able-bodied events in the same programme. Toilet and catering facilities were good.

It is unfortunate that there are no beverage and dining facilities on site. Also, the live streaming is only from a certain hour, which means that supporters staying at home cannot always see their cyclist perform.

Our first time to Jakarta & the International Velodrome. The nearby accommodation was good, (we stayed at Feiris Hotel) and it was walking distance to the Velodrome. The track facilities were good. The tickets were very well priced & our overall experience was good.
