The Women's Ashes is a biennial women's international cricket series between England and Australia. Similar to the men's version of the competition, the Women's Ashes has given birth to a hotly contested rivalry between the two nations and is viewed by many fans as one of the highlights of the women's cricketing calendar. Just as the men's Ashes trophy contains the ashes of a wooden bail burned during the historic 1882–1883 series, the women's version of the event sees teams compete for a trophy containing the ashes of an autographed cricket bat burned before Australia's visit to England in 1998.
Since the Australian tour of England in 2013, the Women's Ashes has been determined on a points system, taking into account 50-over one-day games, T20s, and Test matches. In 2025, England will visit Australia, with the Aussies defending the trophy on home turf after a slim victory in a thrilling series in 2023.
