The Rock Orchestra is a British collective of classical musicians who reinterpret iconic rock and metal songs with a dramatic orchestral twist. Often billed as "The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight", the ensemble is based in the United Kingdom and performs in atmospheric, candlelit settings enhanced by gothic staging and skeletal masks.
Created in 2020 by producer Nathan Reed, the group has rapidly grown from a spin-off live concept into an international touring production, taking its fusion of strings, percussion and amplified guitars across the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and North America. Their shows spotlight music by bands such as Metallica, System Of A Down, Evanescence and The Cranberries, arranged for a 14-piece orchestra and guest vocalists.
Alongside their touring productions, The Rock Orchestra have released studio recordings including their debut album "Classics, Vol. 1" and standout singles like "Zombie", "Chop Suey", "Bring Me To Life" and "Nothing Else Matters", which showcase their blend of symphonic, gothic and metal influences.
